COVID-19 Questions & Answers

We must all work together to minimise the risk of spreading Covid-19. Although it is not possible to offer a completely risk-free environment, we have carefully considered what can be put in place to keep both you and our team as safe as possible. 

Follow National Guidance and please stay at home if you feel unwell.

Important information and answers to key questions follow:

Do I need to book a table?


Yes please. Tables for up to six people from different households or eight people from two different families can be booked online. Please contact us to arrange a larger gathering.




Do I need to wear a Mask or Face Covering?


Face coverings need only be worn inside our building. If you are eating or drinking inside, you can remove your mask once you are sitting at your table.




What will happen when I arrive at the pub?


You will be greeted at the entrance to our terrace and your booking will be checked. You will then be shown to your table.




How will I choose what I want to eat and drink?


You will be offered a single-use paper menu and wine list. Your server will let you know the additional drinks available and will take your order when you are ready.




What training has your team received?


Every one of our team will have received Physical Distancing and Enhanced Hygiene training. Also, our staff know they must feel completely well to enter our pub. We would ask that you keep to the same key rules:

  1. Keep a minimum of 1 metre to 2 metres distance between you and anyone not seated at your table
  2. Stay at home if you feel at all unwell
  3. Regularly and thoroughly wash your hands




What enhanced hygiene arrangements are in place?


Tables, chairs and payment machines (PDQs) will be sanitised after every use. A number of our team have also been trained as Sanitiser Champions. They are responsible for cleaning surfaces, such as door handles, that are regularly touched.




Will Hand Sanitiser be available?


A Hand Sanitiser pump will be available at our main entrance and at various points throughout our building. But we strongly recommend you bring your own preferred brand of sanitiser to use.




Can I use the toilets?


Toilets will be available for you to use. They will be thoroughly cleaned at the start of each day. They will also be regularly inspected and touch points sanitised. If you need to use the toilet, please wear a face covering and use common sense to move through our building keeping to the 2 metre rule if possible.




Am I able to smoke?


You are, but outside and well away from seated guests. Please ask a member of staff for directions to our smoking point.




How will I pay?


If possible, we will bring a PDQ machine to your table so you can pay. If you are seated outside, we may need you to walk inside (with your mask on) to pay.




Will my contact details be collected?


Yes. The Government has confirmed that everyone aged 16 years or over must confirm their contact details. This can be done by checking into the NHS App via our pub's QR code. If you are unable to use the App, please give contact details to a member of our team.




Will social distancing be in place?


Our team members will try to keep a 1-2 metre distance between them and you. We recommend you do the same with people outside your social or family bubble.
