COVID-19 Questions & Answers

Updated Sunday 18th July

We must all continue to minimise the risk of spreading Covid-19.
Each week we will review the measures we have in place.

Please help us by always following National Guidance.
Stay at home if you feel unwell. Delay your visit if you test positive or someone you have been in close contact with has tested positive for Coronavirus.  We will happily rearrange your booking.

And finally, please be as considerate as possible to other guests and our team members. We want everyone to be able to relax and enjoy their time with us.

Answers to key questions follow:

Do I need to book a table?

Because legal social distancing requirements have been lifted (from Monday 19th July), we can accept a greater number of guests. But this is limited to the size of our team and to avoid disappointment, we recommend booking a table. This is particularly necessary during our popular sessions such as Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.
Tables for up to eight people can be booked online.
Please contact us to arrange a larger gathering.

Do I need to wear a Mask or Face Covering?

The wearing of face masks or coverings is no longer a legal requirement (from Monday 19th July). But you may feel more comfortable wearing one when moving around the inside of our building - particularly if the pub is busy.
For the moment, our team members have chosen to continue wearing face masks inside.

Can I order food and drinks at the bar?

Not for the moment but this will be reviewed every week.
The majority of our customers have enjoyed table service and we intend to keep it for the time being. We hope to reintroduce the joy of drinking a pint at the bar in the near future.

Are enhanced hygiene arrangements still in place?

The inside and outside of our pub are thoroughly cleaned each day. Every member of our Front of House team is responsible for making sure tables, chairs and touch points (including payment terminals) are regularly cleaned and sanitised.
Please alert a team member if a table or space needs additional attention.

Is Hand Sanitiser available?

Yes. At our main entrace and in our toilets. But we recommend bringing your preferred brand of sanitiser with you. And please continue to regularly and thoroughly wash your hands.

Will contact details be collected?

Although not required, you can still use the NHS Track & Trace system to check into our venue. We will continue to display our QR code at the main entrance. Our online booking system also enables us to contact customers if necessary.

How do you ventilate the inside of your building?

To enable air to circulate, we will keep a number of our bar and restaurant doors and windows open.
